Like the others have suggested, I'd try an internet search for classes close to you in WV. If you don't mind travelling, there are workshops given here in Jersey just outside Philly. Here's the website:

There is a flint knapping demonstration at Flint Ridge near Zanesville. I can't remember if it is Memorial Day weekend or Labor Day weekend. While it is geared to making arrow heads and other prehistoric stuff, the guy I met a few years ago took the time to show me how to knapp out gun flints. They really are interested in keeping a dying art alive.
You can call 1-800-BUCKEYE and if they can't tell you over the phone they can send you a booklet that gives all the events going on all over the state.
