Wife and I were in that area (New River Gorge) for three days in Sept. WV is rugged & gorgeous country! Not as physically bad as the Rockies due to lower altitude, but every bit as steep. We really enjoyed our time there and will definitely be back.

Almost heaven? Close enough for us!!!

Good luck!View attachment 267708View attachment 267709
Very pretty scenery for sure.

I got permission from my boss, I mean my wife, to take the week of Thanksgiving off to go hunting in West Virginia. It's about a 7 hour drive for me, but I'm looking forward to it. I'll be taking my .54 GPR mostly roaming around the Walback area in search of bigfoot, I mean deer and squirrel!
Best of luck to you on your hunt. Hope you are successful.
