Seeking a late 17th - early 18th century type English lock, musket-sized and flat-faced, with reinforced cock. Can be a dog-lock…or not! The early style Sea-Service lock is a good example (see pic).
This will be for an early 18th c. New England militia musket project. Not interested in one of the India-made locks, so I‘m assuming it would most likely be from a Rifle Shoppe parts set. Hoping there’s one out there that someone is willing to part with…!

Well Your are into the early stuff. Me too so your posts are interesting . I made a Petronel & a Caliver for the Gunner of the Golden Hinde in 1973 with the 12 apostles, Patron , Moulds ect There now in or where at least in a Winnipeg Museum. They where' cheap & cheerful' but they presumably didn't mind.

Oddly perhaps I might have gone as Crew on her. But I was tradeing into India getting locks made ect the ones you don't care for, But at that time there was little in the way of locks much Beyound Siler kits & Haddaway & Maslins ect Non of todays varieties. No TRS & lightyears from Kibler offerings. still I made early along with Ethnological sorts .White ,Black , Or Brindle .They where all gunmakers in my book . Regards Rudyard
