Tonight we attended the last event at Camp Raven Knob ( Surry County, NC), with the Awards Ceremony for the Scouts completing their week in the Mountain Man Program. We had thirteen Scouts this week, our sixth and final week of the year.
It’s always a privilege to work with the Scouts, teaching them Muzzleloading basics and then on to marksmanship. They always seem to amaze us with how quickly they learn to handle these antique long guns, and do a pretty darn good job of it.
Pictured here are (right to left) Charlie, Dave and me.
It’s been, and continues to be, a real honor (and a LOT of fun) to be in their fine company.
