The quick answer is yes. But the work involved and the end result is not worth your effort. Better to just start saving up to buy a flint pistol.
I was just shooting mine this past weekend, something about it just says "beefy". Slightly shorter barrel than my Kentucky pistol but the feel and report is totally different.
