I'll agree and they're not that expensive. I picked up a really nice grade 3 curly maple precarve for my TC Hawken from Pecatonica for just over a Franklin shipped. Sadly, it's laying on my bench awaiting just a few more final touches but that's my fault(and Hurricane Irene's as my workload quadrupled overnight and time is taken).
