I have one of the Saf-T dischargers and use the threaded adapter nozzle with my flintlocks. The tiny end of the brass nozzle has broken off, making it very difficult to get any kind of seal with the touch hole. Any idea where a guy could find a replacement nozzle? I just emailed Genuine Innovations, but from their website, it's looking like they may not make these anymore.

I visited a Cabelas couple months ago, and found a CO2 adapter kit in the clearance section... had all the metal adapter fittings. When I bought my CO2 discharger and it only came with 3 plastic fitting (worthless).

Also found a place online to get the CO2 cartridges in boxes of 24 for not much more than some places sell 5.

I was looking for one a few weeks back after my son misplaced mine. From what I could tell, the brass flintlock adapter has been discontinued. It appears that they are now only offering a universal plastic adapter with a rubber tip that is supposed to work on any muzzleloader.

I couldn't find anyone making them anymore. Out of curiousity, I took one of the inflation needles used to inflate basketballs, cut the tip off and screwed it in to my CO2 discharger. The threads do not match so I tinkered around and rethreaded the needle. It works!

fryfyter43,

I bought one of those a few weeks ago and used it the other day. I had my doubts, but it blew the patched ball out of my 20 ga. smoothbore with no problem. I am not sure how it would do with a tight patch in a rifled bore. Think I bought it from the Log Cabin Shop. It's worth the try.

The one that I bought from Dixie has a rubber fitting on the end and it worked on most everything we used it on. It shot off twice and I found it once! Look we use this so much at the matches that I would order another one if this one broke. I took a drill and drilled into the nylon stem with two size of bits. It now works on #11 and Musket nipples.

One thing though it uses a diffrent sized CO2 and they are the only place that I have found them. If you buy the 40 count they are pretty reasonable though. I am going to do the ball infation needle and then I'll never miss the rubber attachment that is in orbit! Geo. T.
