A woman named Alisa posted the video and wrote:
"We were very lucky! The inside metal rusted out causing it to blow up in pieces. Pieces were found up to a half mile away. The first time it didn't work we were all standing right next to it. Thank god it didn't go off that time. There really are angels watching out for us! We still have the pieces that remind us daily how lucky we are."
Someone asked if they were using smokeless powder but she never answered the question. Probably doesn't know the difference between smokeless and black.
I think the smoke is the wrong color. I bet they used a full pound of smokeless since it wouldn't have looked like very much for a cannon charge. That might explain why it didn't go off the first time - it's harder to light. They are very lucky and I wonder who used to own the cannon.
Second biggest question i have with evolution, ...why don’t they get selected out of the gene pool BEFORE they reproduce?
You are braver than me. During my years as a gunsmith whenever i rebarreled, barreled, or rechambered a rifle, I would have the neighbor kids shoot them, the little rascals love to shoot and therewere so many of them....I have done my best to remove myself from the gene pool, I like a good loud bang and I will shoot anything. I have held 1640's iron against my face and pulled the trigger, I have lit a 200 year old cannon with a blow torch. Perhaps the secret of my survival is that all my nitro is in cartridge form and black is wondrous safe.
