In an effort to find a cheap mold for my 1 inch bore Hakenbuche. I found this info on cannon ball sinker molds. Does anybody else use this type of mold for making shot? Andy

Weight ½ oz ¾ oz 1 oz 2 oz 3 oz 4 oz 5 oz 6 oz
Diameter .55” .62” .66” .83” .96” 1.05” 1.14” 1.20

Weight 8 oz 10 oz 12 oz 1 lb 2 lbs 3 lbs 4 lbs 5 lbs
Diameter 1.35” 1.43” 1.54” 1.69” 2.11” 2.42” 2.67” 2.88”

Those type of molds may not cast very pretty balls. They usually end up looking a bit off center with a lot of flash. Still, they should make satisfactory leaf shakers! :haha:

I have used these for 1.5 (12 oz) and there is a 16 oz mold in my set...I have not used it. I simply melt and clean tire weights for my casts. The first one or so are returned to the pot as these get mold to temp. Then they cast quite nice, but are no 1.5", but about .012 to .020 over-size. I traded some to a friend at a local rendezvous, but he has not yet live fired them.

Here is your cheap mould, and it is very nice. I have one. I think he charges way to little.
