My husband bought it 30 years ago and he did shoot it once or twice. It has a hallmark which is E over an L and a G with a star below that and number 24.0. Also number 625 72. It is in excellent condition and has a leather cover to protect the flintlock action.

How do I decipher that? My husband died and didn't have the caliber written down. Could it be stamped on the barrel? Thank you
