Watched Barry Lyndon by Stanley Kubrick again, tonight. I enjoy that one more every time I watch it. Not a lot of guns in it, couple of pistol duels, one very well done battle with Redcoats marching straight at a line of French and paying the price. Not much detail of the guns, but well done, for me. A realistic look at 18th-century British aristocracy, I understand, and the costumes and mannerisms are excellent. This is one of the most beautifully photographed movies I know of, only other which compares is The Duellists by Ridley Scott. In both, almost every scene looks like a well composed still life with perfect lighting.

I haven't seen Barry Lyndon for years, but I remember enjoying it very much. I also liked "Tom Jones" ...the movie, not the singer. :hmm:
