Probably should have put this on first. This is a standard brass 1851 Pietta Navy .44 Cal

I left a little brass in places to try and give it a little different look. Unfortunately I did get a little blue in it, so I may re apply on those areas.
 
Never used this one, but Brass Black can be cut with water to react slower. Straight, the stuff can turn brass jet black in less time than it takes to say, "What the....?" :wink: I mostly used it for weathering my tack jobs on guns or gunstock war clubs, et. al.!
 
Looks good, you might consider putting a few scratches and dents and dings in the wood on the grips. All guns that see real use will get them eventually. Also I would try to create artificial "holster wear" on the barrel and cylinder. You got me thinkin I want to try this now, Thanks for posting!
