"Midwestern" also - west central Ohio. Only been here 4 years now. Lived in OK - which I really consider "Mid West" - previous 10 years, southern Florida the previous 42.
I've long enjoyed BP shooting - but around here, knowing very few people, it's difficult to find a place to shoot and/or hunt.

I’d recommend Pecatonica Rifle Works. They can do many custom features Such as installing the lock, barrel tenons and other work you might choose not to do yourself.

Or they can ship you all the fixings and you can build it yourself.
I’ve ordered many different “kits” from them over the years and have always been satisfied. .

I lived in the Keys for a few years and left back when Hurricane Andrew went through.
