dooing an outher knife handle this pice is cape lilac again, the limb was trimbed back in march and about 8"still left on the tree cut it of yesterday as you can see from the pics the wood has changed color and there was no sap,it is quite a thick handle but i wont take any more wood of as i like where it is now there is no stain bin put on just raw linseed and raw olive oil.the wood from this tree just astounds me.

Now that's going to make a real nice handle! Looking at the close-up of the tree makes me think that may be the same thing we call a Chinaberry tree here in Florida. I've got to find out now my curosity is peaked.
Can't wait to see the knife you use that one on!
