They can't go when you put the ol roundball where it belongs!

I've nothing against a tricked out long rifle, but as pretty as your wood is on that rifle no embellishments are necessary. Fine Flintlock, nice doe and good shooting.
 
Congratulations on the deer and that's a very nice flintlock. Great wood and finish. A .45 is a great caliber and flat shooting. The old TC Seneca in .45 I have has taken a lot of deer. I purchased for my wife in the 80's. She never took a deer with it but shot some matches with it and even won a couple. I have set it up for young hunters and loaned it to many friends for their kids and they took deer with it. Some with roundball and a couple with Lee bullets I cast for it.
