Friends,

As many of you know, the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show was canceled this year and with it, the PA State Knife and Tomahawk Championships. Thankfully, we have found a new location to hold the championships this year and we will continue our 35 year tradition!! Our new sponsor is Carlisle Events at the all new Carlisle Sports and Outdoor Nationals to be held at the Carlisle Fairgrounds. If you are not familiar with this family run business, these are the guys that run the world famous Carlisle Car Shows. Carlisle Events began working on a Sportshow last year and they have put together a fantastic event for hunters and fisherman.

The event is three days scheduled for Sept 6th-8th, 2013 at the Carlisle Fairgrounds. The staff has graciously provided us with a very large area at the event to do what we have always wanted to do, create an 18th-19th century trading village and market in association with the Championships. We have about a 160 X 240 foot area for the camp, The staff is providing firewood, bathrooms with showers, and food vendors on site. There is no charge to set-up and sell. We only ask that you assist us by giving a program in the presentation tent or providing a prize for the daily camp raffle. If you decide to do a program, please contact me with the title of the program and your preferred times (this is muzzleloading 101 with a focus on the hunter so plan your programs accordingly). Village Restorations will be building a hunters cabin. We will have blacksmiths, a primitive archery range, and kids events.

Hours of the event are 12-6pm Friday, Sept 6th, 9-6pm Saturday, Sept 7th, and 10-4pm Sunday, Sept 8th.

You can beginning arriving to set-up on Thursday at 12 noon and you can stay over to load out on Monday if you wish. Parking is in easy walking distance from the camp.

IF YOU PLAN TO PARTICIPATE PLEASE CONTACT ME BY AUGUST 20th! Either message me here or contact me at [email protected]

Thanks,

GBJ
