I have a 50 cal that hasent been shot but has a ding by the tang area not bad tho , rest is 100% Whats it worth

Thanks for clarifying it is a TC. Unlike some, I am not into TC's that much, hence your 25th anniversary Hawken description meant naught to me.

IMHO, it would be worth whatever someone is willing to pay.

Perhaps $400.00. I've seen a few on ebay recently. Barrel in one auction, and the rest in another.

If my memory serves nme correctly, they were made in 1995...I bought a pair of .45cal NIB off of GunBroker in '98 for $250 each.

Gave one to my Son as a Christmas present, resold the other one as they had the QLA feature in the muzzle which I personally didn't happen to need.

Also, I was surprised that the anniversary models weren't really anything special, just regular TC Hawkens with the words "25th Anniversary" stamped in the side of the barrel.

You could put it on GunBroker and see what it brings...on average the .50cals seem to sell in the $225-$275 range.

Saw an ebay split barrel/stock auction for a TC Hawken Cougar 25th anniversary edition recently that was removed before the auction ended. The Cougar stock looked like an upgrade from the standard walnut TC Hawken stock. The stock was at about $165 that last time I looked before it was removed. Is the Cougar anniversary rifle something special?

There were special runs of Cougars made in '87, and again 5 years later in '92, in .45 & .50cals, but the catalogs don't refer to them as anniversary models...they were caplock only, had presentation grade wood, stainless furniture & lock buffed to look like pewter, and a regular blued barrel.
(I converted one of mine to a Flintlock using the stainless Flint lock that TC puts on it's Firestorm model)

TC has had a history of producing a special run of some Hawken dirivitive every 5 years...other 5 year special runs were the Hawken 'Silver Elite' (same as the Cougars but with a stainless barrel) and the Hawken 'Custom', all high luster deep polish glossy blue finish on all furniture & barrel.

These 5 year runs occurred at 5 year milestones of the TC company which started in '67...so the '87 Cougar was a 20 year model, then again in '92 when TC hit 25 years.

As I understand it, the 25th anniversary Hawken model took place 1995...(because they have the QLA barrels which were cut into production in 1995)...and were the 25th anniversary of the Hawken model itself, not of the company.

All this assumes I understand the evolution correctly and I apologize in advance if I don't.
