I just got two 250 tins of #11 RWS plus from powder valley. They were offering free shipping a week ago. These should last me a couple of years.

That’s about 6 weeks for me.

I thought I had my supply of caps taken care of, but found you don't have it until you have it in hand. I got an email from The Regimental Quartermaster last week that they had in stock RWS 1075 and musket caps. At the end of the week I ordered a sleeve of each, 2500 1075 caps and 1000 musket caps. Monday morning I received an email from them that they were unable to ship them, no reason given as to why they couldn't. I had them refund the purchase price since it was not feasible for me to drive from Charleston SC to Gettysburg to pick them up. I did pick up 3 tins of musket caps and 4 tins of old Remington 11's at the local gun show a couple weeks ago. Most of my shooting is with flintlocks so I don't worry too much about caps. I just want to continue to be able to shoot my Richmond musket when I like and I have a couple Dragoons I got about a year ago I have not taken out to the range yet. That order from The Regimental Quartermaster would have lasted me if I live to 90.

Visited the Lawton l Academy store this am. CCI #11 caps are in stock and priced at$11.99/100.

Just throwing this out there as a source for #10 amd #11 caps as of yesterday were $7.99 a tin for CCI. They had a lot of them. My Colt 1860 uses them(#10) and I picked some up.Location: Union Center Store, 25510 County Road 50, Nappenee IN 46550. 574-773-3222. They will ship.

As was mentioned here before, haunt Walmart in July, they will have CCI #11s until they sell out which will be rather quickly. Academy will have them early for twice the price as Walmart but they do price matching, buy some form Walmart, keep the receipt and you can get them for $5 and change from Academy.

Is that a regional thing? My local big Walmart (so cal) no longer carries any BP supplies whatsoever

I live in Central Florida.
Not sure about all the Wal-Mart stores, 2 of the stores I shop at only because they a short drive.
They get muzzleloading supplies once a year, just 1 oder so I'm told. Our muzzleloading season starts in October, they get stocked up about 1 to 1 1/2 months ahead of that. Small amount of caps if any. Years ago you pick up muzzleloading supplies year round, but not anymore. They stock mostly modern muzzleloading supplies.

I think it is a Cal thing, although, when I give people a heads up when I find caps in the local Walmart most people around the country find them there as well there, there are some stores carrying them and some that don't nationwide.

I always buy 3 tins and leave the rest for others, I don't shoot percussion much so every year my stock of caps grows, always good to have on hand should a SHTF scenario happen to go with my 100# of lead and 23# of powder.
