Labeled as Japanese, however I don’t believe it is at all.

Closest I’ve seen to this form is the top of this photo from the museum in Tbilisi, Georgia. The matchlock was acquired in Bukhara, modern day Uzbekistan

Chinese I think.
Way out of my field, but there is a spitting image of your gun illustrated and labeled "Chinese" in my old tattered copy of a "A glossary of the construction decoration and use of arms and armor" on page 442
 
Gentlemen, thank you! I agree, it is most likely Chinese. I had only really seen the pistol grip no buttstock form before
