I briefly visited the church history museum of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Salt Lake City this week and took a photo of one of the more unusual firearms I’ve seen. It’s a five shot sliding magazine “harmonica” rifle manufactured by Jonathan Browning in the 1840s. I forgot to take a photo of the written history of this particular gun but here’s a link to an interesting piece about Browning’s design: Collectible Firearms for Serious Gun Collectors. If you’re ever in SLC this museum has a handful of other interesting firearms from the period.

(I had to take the photo through a glass case so pardon the quality.)
