Someone posted about their barrel not having any "Spain" marking on it. There is a possibility the gun came from Deer Creek. They made barrels for a number of their leftover CVA kits so they would be complete. My Mountain rifle has one of their barrels. The only marking is the caliber.
 
I do not have the "Spain" marking on my barrel.

There was a guy on GunBroker selling a Mountain Pistol advertised as "early made in USA model" maybe he's mistaken ?
