Congrats to you Trent! Glad to have caught up with the group. Sorry I wasn't able to join in with the group when you started. The fog that morning put my silhouette match back a bit. Glad to have meet you all and put faces with names.
If I'm there in the spring I will make sure I am there again and on time.
:v

Trent

Congrats Trent! I was there Sunday, but didn't have time to shoot with you folks, as I was busy stocking up on the accessories I needed to shoot!
I'm all stocked up now though, so I've no excuses for next Spring

Congratulations Trent...!!!!
My offer to double your money on that rifle still stands btw...
Barry, Thanks for sharing the video. That is awesome. I am using it to share a little bit of the whole "Friendship experience" with my family. We're also sharing it with an older gentleman in our area who is in Hospice at the present time. He first attended Friendship in 1948. He knew all the elders of the association and has been truly brightened in what are his last days by these memories.
Thanks again for all of us.

On a side note: I was finally able to get my camp and everything in my tent dried out by about 3:00 pm Sunday afternoon. Sorry I missed the Woodswalk, but God willing there will be another opportunity.

Thanks to all for the kind words. As we set foot into the woods I had no expectation of winning the traveling trophy against quality competitors, any of whom on a given day might spank my shooting. The plate is already at the engraver to be brought up to date. I shall endeavor to defend my luck in June. It was the absolute highlight of my time at Friendship this fall.

Good goin' Trent! :hatsoff: Grats on your win.

What was the winning score if I might ask?

I almost made it to the forum woodswalk this year. Started out on Saturday to do the Widowmakers woodswalk and made it half way thru when the monsoon hit! Had to finish that up on Sunday. :surrender:

Possible score was 17. I shot a 10. Memorable targets were missing the feather (took out a chunk, but missed the quill), cutting the card, whacking the chain (it REALLY danced), and hitting both "weak hand" targets.
I was shooting The Brassy Lady, a .40 caliber lefty flintlock which I bought at a yard sale for $100. The patch box is shaped like a woman, and to open the box you lift her skirt. That .40 caliber failed me the next day at the primitive range's King's Mountain match, where 50 grains of powder would hit, but not topple the 130 yard steel target. It served me well, but not well enough, at primitive's Ephraim Brank contest. I scored 30 out of 50 on that 120 yard target.

I'd love to see a big turn-out for the June Woods Walk!
