    You might also jab a round file into an old arrow and reilieve the swelling or slightly taper the ramrod to fit. Good luck

    I still lack browning parts on new smoothbore when a new friend of mine says he urinates on em and they rust -works great. So I take butt plate ramrod thimbles and lock plate to my'spot' rest em on a palate. well 2 days later I am not satisfied with the project and 2 thimbles and the side plate...

    I fell in love with daves export grade fowler and set out to build one. After many compounded errors I think it could be called a 1750 english trade gun. I still am in progress with it and its not too bad for gun # 2.

    Hello-while working on the ramrod entry I have a chip that broke out and I was wondering what glue to use to put it back in.It is a rather obvious spot also thin as the channel is right under it. Thanks folks, Bill

    I am trying to build my first fowler-I now have a goal.I Keep coming back to look at your fowler like a moth drawn to a flame. What kind of wood is that?

    I am going to start build 2. 1750 fowler 20 ga. I am looking for a barrel -oct to round and a great stock either cherry or walnut. I want the best.Dunlap was my wood choice but any suggestions would be great. Thanks. Bill

    I am building my first one too and messed up on the tang. Its very frustrating but I fixed it the best I could and at that point realized that it wont be perfect but the best I can do.
