Hello my name is Marshall Steelman. I shoot with a charter club of the NMLRA out of NC, Yadkin Valley Longrifles Inc. We are a small bunch, but proud to carry on this unique tradition. We shoot the third saturday of the month. Glad to see this forum and be part of it too.

Welcome aboard. My wife is from Winston and all her family is around there. We live in E TN, adjacent to the Great Smoky NP, but I have ancestors from your area, the Bryans,one of whom, Rebecca, married Daniel Boone. I would love to be able to come over there and shoot in the "old neighborhood"!!!

I just moved to Winston-Salem last month, what are the shoots you have? I used to go to some winter shoots in NY that were a walk in the woods shoots, most targets were steel animals set up 25 - 100 yards away. Be nice to shoot down here as well. These were not overly competitive shoots, mostly for fun - if you placed high enough, you won a $10 package of meat. We had a lot of fun and a nice lunch afterwards.
