I buy "project" guns online ever so often. Never have seen the excellent shipping containers/attention to detail as posted here from Mr. Kibler. Some sellers appear to source boxes from dumpsters, buy air-filled bags by the semi-load, and packing tape from harbor freight. Since about half of my purchases are basket cases (parts guns), at least if stolen, they won't harm anyone.

Basic problem with postal inspectors is that there aren't enough of them and it's difficult to get them to outlying rural areas. Every one I worked with were good people, overloaded with illegal drug shipping at that time. From what I understand, anything that even looks like a firearm in shipment is subject to theft. Sad times.
