Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
TC PeepSights are getting high priced. I have a TC Renegade .54 was woundering if any of you guy using Williams Peep Sight ? Also is front sight a 3/8 dovetail as I want to change it also ?
:v LYMAN makes a Rear Peep 57M that is a modern type and generally not accepted at Rondys, but is an excellent sight for hunting, very rugged. Mounts to the tang. :v
The Lyman 57M is a well built rear sight. I have one. OVer the years, I've put it on BOTH of my T/C Hawkens...shot it a while, then took it off and threw it back in the closet. FWIW: In my experience (others may differ...),the most significant change you can make to most factory production rifles is to change out the FRONT sight for something that's not so huge.
I have used Williams Aperatures, as well as front sights and other "parts" before and they seem to be of high quality. I have been considering the Williams M/L peep because of it's small size. It is a breech mount. Not sure I like the idea of an aluminum base though. On Midway USA the user reviews are mixed.

I've been considering Skinner peeps. These are pretty pricey though, which seems to be part of what you're trying to avoid.
