Hey guys picked up an FP Hawken sight from Williams used from a local guy, it didn’t come with any instructions, curious to know what size tap I need for the included screw?

Thanks
Ryan

Since you have the screw, and need a tap, take the screw to Ace, HD, Lowes and size it with thread checker. Then, in the same trip, pick up proper tap.

That’s a good suggestion, however I’m an hour and a half from a Home Depot and my local hardware stores including ace, do not carry anything like I’m needing. Ryan

I emailed Williams that question a few months ago asking the thread size of the screw. Below is their response sans name and phone extension. Because of their response I ordered a #28 and drill bit off ebay.

That is an 8-40 mounting screw.
