Rifle Shoppe makes a kit but they are terrible to deal with. Tried to order a lock got a six month run around about how it was almost ready

Blackley's in the UK has two different wheelocks that you can make from parts. Be warned no plans included

I'm currently starting a pistol project with a Breskian lock from Blackley's all the other parts will come from Track of the Wolf which has excellent quality and service

this is a construction from parts approach of course. not a put together kit

Only know of The Rifle Shoppe too but can't say much for their "service". Waiting a year for parts is hard to stomach. Have seen odd parts for locks available but nothing in a kit form for matchlock. Perhaps someone else has some notions.

Leonard Day might be able to help you. It's possible that he could provide some of the parts. You can call him at 413-527-0184. Good luck--a matchlock would be a fine project!

The Rifle Shoppe's website claims to have a matchlock kit currently in stock.

Go to menu at left and select Complete Parts Set.

Be sure to let us know what happens. You will be, in effect, our test case or experiment: hope you don't mind. Good luck, never dealt with them except to buy their catalog and their reputation does not inspire confidence.

I am also looking to build a matchlock from a kit.
E-mailed TRS and they said that Cavilier kit is in stock. 699 for an assmebled lock 599 without.
Seems rather high. Is there any one else that makes them.
I would prefer to build a long gun.
regards
Mike
