Does anyone have any photos from the past Whiskey Rebellion reenactments? I'm curious to see what it is like. Thanks :thumbsup:

I'm a member of the Rangers of the Ohio Company. :v We're located just NW of Washington, PA. We Participate in events dating from 1750 to around 1815. We've paticipated in a Whiskey Rebellion reenactment where the farmers and local malitias met and agreed to meet at the Mingo Creek Church :hatsoff: to discuss the areas volitole situation. I have to locate a pic or two and I'll post them. But this is a good place to gather info on the WR. :thumbsup: http://www.whiskeyrebellion.org/

Thanks for that link. Does that society only do early US Army? Or do you guys go up to 1812 too?

Sorry :shake: I took so long to get these up. The first picture is where the farmers flanked the local militia, fire a warning and announce that they're willing to talk :thumbsup:. The second is where the farmers move in close, wait and listen to what the militia officer announces about wanting the farmers to meet at the Mingo Creek Church meeting hall to discus :yakyak: where everyone stood on the current issues. {These pictures are about 250+/- yards from the actual Mingo Creek Church}

What is the flag the person in the bottom picture is holding??
Looks like a collapsed Australian flags with the stars on it?

Great to see questions when people don't know something :thumbsup:. It is the Scenery Hill flag :hatsoff: which has a minor use in the Whiskey Rebellion. But it is the local (50 mile radius I live in) flag of that conflict which took place in my backyard. If you go to this site ( http://www.nava.org/Flag Information/articles/whiskeyflags/whiskeyflags.htm ) you can see it laid flat out (4th one down) as well as other pics and info on that conflicts flags.:winking: I hope you enjoy it. :applause:
