Beech maybe? Birch? Some type of hardwood that will be fine for it's purpose, but not particularly interesting or attractive to me (though this one does show more grain than many of them did).
Sharpen your scrapers!! You're going to be doing a lot of it. But interesting figuring nevertheless.
