coming to the end of my first rifle build an am wondering what I should do for the barrel and lock of a 1770s longrifle. The gun will be used for hunting and Reenacting so It needs to be as historically accurate as possible. thank you guys

Polished and in-the-white, or rust-blued. The rust-blueing process isn't period correct, but has the same color/finish as charcoal heat bluing which would be correct.
