I bought it from a gunshop that knew nothing about it or another muzzleloader.

You have a pedersoli.
We can't tell you anything else, because all you show us is that it is a pedersoli that has a serial number,, and that it is a cap lock with a trigger and a rear sight.

Necchi, I understand that I didn't include a picture if the rifle on my first post. The markings on the rifle are the only thing I have to go on. The web site has nothing that matches . My rifle is drilled for a tang sight, the barrel length is 32" ,1" across the flats. It's not a Lyman, or it isn't marked as such.

They might have changed the specs over time. Note the current rifle comes in either .45 or .50 cal. Anyhoo, two people here noted a distinct resemblance.

Pedersoli website says the .50 cal Missouri River Hawken has a 1:24 twist.
They also make/made the Rocky Mountain Hawken, but only show it in .54 cal on the website, with a 1"65 twist.
Otherwise pretty much the same rifle, I always liked the the look of them, I'd have one for sure.

Thank you for that info. I don't know what Model I have as the barrel is 32" and the twist is1 in 32". None of the rifles in their catalog have the 50 cal in that barrel length or twist. It is a very accurate rifle using the great plains bullets . I was just trying to find out what model it is. It doesn't really matter.

What value is "a distinct resemblance" ? I have read all the info that I can find on line. My rifle doesn't match any that are being marketed now. I thought that another member might have the same rifle as mine. The rifle I have has ,1" flat to flat ,32" barrel, it is drilled and taped for tang sight, it has a 1 in 32" twist.

Nothing in the catalog matches . It was made in 2008 ,so it may have been dropped from production. Thanks for looking into it for me.

Certainly possible that the barrel specs could have been different back in 2008, and while yours may not match anything in the current Pedersoli offerings, aside from the barrel specs, it's a dead ringer for a Pedersoli Hawken of some kind, in my humble opinion. :)

I agree with you. I was just trying to find what model it is so I might sell it. I won't even try if I can't tell someone what they are buying.
