I knew I was going to spend more than I wanted to, but the time to buy is when it's there and the price is right. Now, what models do I have? Both are ASM, both are .36cal. as you see, they are both in great shape, but I am not an expert on hand guns. The 2 rifles I bought are a different story. The TC Hawken with an extra .50 LRH Green mountain barrel and pedersoli blue ridge .50, I know about. I passed on a Parker Hale Volunteer that was crapped up.

Nice find. Not exactly sure, but I think the top one is an 1861 Civilian model. Also known as the Sheriff's model because of the fluted cylinder. The one with the rebated cylinder is an 1862. The 1862s were 1849s. The table was cut and a rebated 36 caliber cylinder was fitted. Then a 36 barrel was added. Due to the small frame and cylinder, it is a 5 shot. The arbor is small like the 1849 pockets.

Good Grab!
The Hawken Green Mountain LRH barrel should like the Bullshop 460 NEX conical pushed by 85 grains of Swiss 2F with a wool wad.
I have two of them. They are great shooters. I shoot mine out to 200 yds with the Lyman SML peep sight.

Cap and ball revolvers are not bringing as much as they did now in my locality. Can’t get caps. People don’t want to make them.
