I hesitate to keep putting stuff on the forum, but I enjoy it so much, and some have said don’t stop it’s great stuff from the old country Ha ha.

Suns out It’s the Derby today and Joans going to a street party for the queens celebration. No thanks , I went off them, when Charles said I cannot live on £8m a year

Trying to get the trigger right , think I got it with my card cutouts. Next is to find a bit of metal, maybe tomorrow I feel tired today , I guess that’s it. This walnut is splintery with a chisel best to use a dremmil for finishing

Got out my Lyman 36cal target revolver and shot it 36 rounds. 24 rounds of round balls using23gr. Pyrodex pistolpowder. don't remember when i got the powder maybe 15years ago and it was a open can then.12 using conical bullets same load. 15 yards ,hit the 12in. Target all the time. Not bad for a 70year old shaking hand blind in his dominant eye man. Last 3 shot with conical I shot this hunk of 2in. wood, they went all the way through. I think that would kill about anything.

Hello Everyone!
I recently finished my .54 Kibler Colonial in fancy maple. I did some very subdued incised carving on the patch box, ramrod molding and near the entry pipe. My first attempt. Not perfect, but I like it. Here is a photo of my second five shot target at 25 yards, benched. I know this rifle will shoot better than me. This target was 65 grains of Goex View attachment 140843View attachment 140844View attachment 140845View attachment 140846View attachment 140847View attachment 140848View attachment 140849View attachment 140850FFG with a .530 ball and .018 patch.
Next are photos of the rifle with accoutrements. My brother made the powder horn and gave me the rifleman’s knife and Virginia axe. We should all have and be such brothers!
Now for some summer fun making smoke!
