Dixie TN Mt Rifle - does anyone know what this screw is for? The one behind the rear trigger.

Dixie TN Mt Rifle - does anyone know what this screw is for? The one behind the rear trigger.
As the folks have said... rotate the screw inwards, and when the trigger is "set" the trigger pressure needed to fire the rifle is lowered. Rotate the screw outwards, and the trigger pressure needed is increased. You can get the trigger so light that the sear doesn't hold, so be mindful of that.
