Got this in a trade a few days ago. Not sure what to call it. It's a smooth bore 12 gauge. My 12 gauge wads fit perfect. Musket nipple. Barrel is 20" muzzle to nipple.

Some Indian made guns are ok, albeit crude. The quality differs from shop to shop. That Rudyard guy from NZ would know more!

THAT is a repro of a British 1856 Enfield Cavalry Carbine. About 10,000 were bought and imported by the CSA.

These were also the carbines that you see the British Cavalry carrying in the movie Quigley Down Under.

The captured swivel ramrod was not new to the model however, as it was found on the British East India Company Cavalry Carbine of 1798

Thank you very much Mr Dave, now my gun has a name. I figured it was a replica of something. I’m not new to front stuffing. Just not familiar with the names, history and nomenclature of em. I really appreciate ya
