I have an old knight inline that someone mistreated , I want to bore out to make a 28 ga. .Can I bore it out with a 35/64 bit welded to a rod and held in place with a vice or would I also need to use a reamer to smooth out the bore? Comments please.

armourers square reamer would be slow but would do the trick! plus it wudn't bite in and drift on you either. Lots of oil and patience..
