Underhammer pistol

[11th corps]

I have had this several years. iirc it had a pistol grip on it at one time, but I can't locate it. The barrel/gun belonged to my Dad.
He had several inexpensive kits he put together. They came from K Mart, probably in the 1970's, this might have been one of them.
I would like to get this back into shooting shape, and if anyone has one could you post a photo of it so I can get an idea of what the grip should look like?

I have one of those, the original handle was too small for me to hold well. So I tossed it and made a new handle that was bigger and fit my hand better. Since you are going to make a new handle might as well make it a good one. Back in the day these underhammers were also called "Boot Pistols". The smaller handle helped with the concealment.

Alway wondered about the Navy Arms Boot Pistols... Is the grip a modified Thompson SMG grip? I'm sure there were a lot of Thompson grips laying around as surplus when these pistols were designed and manufactured.

They aren't Navy Arms guns, Numrich/Hopkins & Allen. Yes it's a modified Thompson grip. Numrich bought Auto Ordinance and manufactured semi and full auto Thompsons for years so it was a logical step to use the tooling & design for their boot pistol grip.
