i have a traditions carbine pistol grip stock 1-20 twist barrel need suggestions on load an bullet. i usually use 777 powder FF . should i use FFF?

Do you experience any igition problems with the ffg and do you usually lightly rap the side of the rifle after dropping the powder in?
Using fffg might help the powder settle into the drum better.
As for bullet loads, have you tried a sabot and a medium weight bullet of 240 - 250 grains?

I always load in the way you described ,any of my muzzel loaders. I just got this gun was just open to suggestions, thought FFF might be better because of short barrel. I have 50 cal. great plains hunter 1-32 FF=777 is great in it ,good acurracy up to (believe it or not) 150 yrds.385gr. bullet.
