I have a Caywood that shoots very well patched.
Had to bend the barrel 5 times but it shoots exactly to point of aim and very consistent now.
No rear sight just guesstimate using the rear tang screw for windage. Elevation, put the top of the front sight on the target and when you can just barely see the top of the barrel over the tang that's perfect.
Try using a thin spit patch, it might work for you as well.
