Just found a copy of the book the Rifled Musket by Claud E. Fuller. A must for musket shooters. Of particular interest are the excerpts from the Ordnace Manual issued to Union soldiers, with disassembly instructions, cleaning instructions and lots of diagrams of parts.
Good stuff!
 
An excellent reference work,one of the standards in the field.For a view of their effectiveness in combat I would recommend "The Rifle Musket in Civil War Combat by Earl J. Hess.
