NOTE - If you're here to pass judgment of an Indian import arm ... then please go somewhere else and play ... got it?
This is the one from the 'smoothbore' Baker that Bobby Hoyt recently rifled to be a 62-cal rifle. There's pictures of 2 barrels I had sent him over in the Vendor Forum. Bob himself said he wasn't surprised with either the robustness of the breech plug and the assembled fit, as he's rifled many.
Shot it today 16-times, ragged hole group @ 25-yards, but will stretch her out to 100Y and further later, and all was well. Ignition was 100% after yes ... I did have to tune the lock myself, including reducing the power on the 2 springs. There is a shallow notch for the touch hole that is well formed, with no sharp edges and polished, as is the breech face ... as EVERYTHING else on an Indian-made arm is, haha!
Hey, for a total $600 investment (bought the Baker as a smoothbore off of someone - brand new & never sparked) so now I have myself a shootable Baker!
Dirty bore, before cleaning out any machining chips or lube from the rifling process - as received back from Mr. Hoyt. Once clean she shines as 'new', as well ... she is.
