The Hawken Shop

Good Morning All,

Some two to three weeks back, I tried to order a Griffith style, Hawken breech plug/tang assembly from The Hawken Shop.

My order and money order was returned with a note that they could not fill my order due to a fire in their shop. losing not only some inventory, but also the casting patterns for the Griffith Hawken breech plug/tang.

I hope the Hawken Shop will be able to get back into business and continue production. They have treated me well.

Does any forum member have any current information on the status of The Hawken Shop?

John, that's sad to hear, hope they're back in business soon. You might try Don Stith for the parts Here's his site[url] http://donstith.com/.[/url] He owns The St. Louis Plains rifle Co., and stocks all sorts of Hawkens parts.

John, You might try Track of the Wolf for the Griffith breech plug you want. They still list it. Le Grand
