Round barrel vs octagon.

Sorry, my post didn't fully make it.....barrel channels are different as explained above. The key is also in a different spot.

The key is in the same location as the White Mountain Carbine and the Renegade. With some work it may fit a white mountain carbine by fitting the barrel into channel by inletting the octagon to round, but there would have to be some side by side comparison to really know.

Quite frankly, not worth the effort.

Anyone know if the new Englander barrel will fit a TC HAWKINS STOCK?
It shouldn't. The round barrel in the octagon breech for one, and I'm not sure that the key is located in the same place on both barrels allowing the NE barrel to be secured in the Hawken stock. Further the NE is made to swap 12 gauge barrel for the rifled barrels, so the outside diameter of all the barrels are the same as the 12 gauge barrel, allowing rifle or shotgun barrel to fit the NE stock.
