Is it O.K to shoot chilled lead shot from T/C.renegade .56 cal. smoothbore.I have never shot blackpowder shotgun befor,so if I sound like a rookie its because I am.

Yes it is . You can shoot any Lead shot through it with no shot cups, just the wads.
Don't know if you intend to shoot roundballs out of it too, but if you do you will need .550 diameter, that is what T/C recommended...
There are a few shooters here that have the same gun as you, I'm sure they'll offer some helpful advise as well...
