Do any of you just use stain and a oil finish? What I'm getting at is NO aqua fortis , just stain and finish.

Tha t s nice tenngun. I had one good AF and stain but I'm using just LM nut brown and probably tru oil or permaquin.

Is the third picture down a hawkin. Half stock or?
I stained this pistol with asphalt rendered out from Henry wetpatch using paint thinner. It's a stain as old as the hills.
No Southern Mountain Rifle same gun as photo one
