I'm going to build a smoothbore in 12 gauge. A friend is giving me a plank of curly cherry that I'll stock it with. Anybody have any recommendations on a barrel? I know who's who in rifled barrels, didn't know if anyone had any good/bad experiences with smoothbores. I'm not looking to cast dispersion on any manufacturer or trying to plug another. Just looking for some advice. Thanks in advance.
Rick

It's hard to find fault with a smoothbore. Most all of them are the same as far as I'm concerned. I'm more concerned with who can give me the outer profile I want and the gauge I want. But mostly who has something in stock!

The style would be along the lines of a Fusil "C". Octagon to round, most likely 42" long.
