I went to clean my barrel [green mt.] and took out the touchhole liner cleaned it dried it put it back in and the liner screwed way too far in the barrel not flush like it was ,I wasnt reefing on it just screwed in easy what to do? its not stripped ,should I try some loctite stuff or just screw it in all the way ? please.....thank you

Stop turning when its flush and dont worry........After a few shots fouling will hold it right there.....the Lock will probably keep it from backing out .......I wouldnt use locktite......but if it bothered me I would use some Teflon tape on it.................Bob

Don't ever take your touch hole out, there's no need. I never put a touch hole liner in that CAN be taken out, and there is no problem. They aren't intended to be taken in and out.

I use Teflon tape on all of mine and there is no sign the hat does anything to it.Just be sure you don't let it get over the vent hole if you use it.
