Slings for trade guns

I’m looking for sling ideas for a trade gun. The kind that slip over the barrel & forestock is fine when the sights are a little elevated. But they get in the way when I’m just using a front sight & keeping my eye low. What are some other options out there? Period correct not critical but certainly adds some cool factor.

I modified a sling swivel made for a musket trigger guard I got from TOTW, drilled a hole through the under barrel ramrod rib about 10" from the muzzle & made a screw to attach it. Then just screwed a regular non-detachhable sling swivel into the buttstock. The sling has quick detach leather straps on each end & is a snap to take off or put on.

I just put the loop on the ram rod between under rib and ramrod works for me
