has anyone ever seen this on a kentucky? or is this new-fangled?

a fancy-dan buttplate like Brownell's sells for high end $$ shotguns?????

I asked Tomtom, but he mumbled something to the effect, 'don't think so".....

The only place I have seen them were antique English shotgun s and double rifles from about 1860 to 1890.

Your mileage may vary. ;)

I have a book with a picture of a German rifle with a bone buttplate. Maybe not the "skeleton" you were thinking of, though...
